MSME (Udyam) Registration
The free, Aadhaar-based registration that unlocks MSME benefits — recommended for almost every small business.
What Udyam (MSME) registration is
Udyam is the government's registration for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises under the MSMED Act, 2006. It is Aadhaar-based, paperless, and free, and it links to the enterprise's PAN and GST records.
Classification is by investment in plant and machinery (or equipment) and annual turnover: Micro (up to ₹1 crore / ₹5 crore), Small (up to ₹10 crore / ₹50 crore), and Medium (up to ₹50 crore / ₹250 crore).
Registration is what lets a business claim the benefits and protections available to MSMEs.
